Background
Lantra Awards develop training and qualifications in a wide range of areas, from forestry and horticulture, to agriculture and landscape. They are a not for profit organisation with over 40 years experience of focusing on the needs of industry.
As a lot of their training and assessment is carried out in non-classroom environments, they needed a reliable and trusted platform provider to help them implement e-assessment for their burgeoning end point assessment business.
It is a highly competitive and challenging sector so Lantra opted for XAMS, provided and supported by the team at Coelrind.

David Cooke, the CTO of LANTRA Awards explains:
“Our competition had already introduced online assessment, therefore we wanted to remain current in our offerings to our customers. By implementing XAMS, we have experienced an increase in the amount of online assessment, which in turn has improved our operating efficiency from the removal of manual effort. There has also been a reduction in the amount of time to mark paper-based assessment, through scanning and uploading these into the online assessment tool. In addition, there has also been an increase in the consistency of the look and feel across our assessment papers”.
John O’Sullivan, CEO of Coelrind adds:
“We are very proud to be working with the talented team at LANTRA Awards. The EPA market is very important to us and we are learning so much by working with organisations like LANTRA. We try to provide a service that is quick, stable and well supported. Kevin Kirk, our CTO, and his team are renowned for how quickly they resolve issues.”
